QUALITY IMPROVEMENT MANAGER
Alleghany Highlands Community Services (AHCS) in Covington, Virginia is seeking applicants for a Quality Improvement Manager position. This position is responsible for AHCS compliance with rules, regulations and laws that govern its operations as a Community Services Board. The QI Manager will monitor compliance through audits, reviews and outcome studies. The incumbent works in a cooperative and collaborative environment with members of the AHCS management team, and serves as a member of that team. The incumbent will report to and receive direction from the Executive Director of AHCS.

Residential Technician
Alleghany Highlands Community Services is seeking to fill a part-time Residential Technician position. The Residential Technician will provide direct care services through training in health, nutrition, safety, medication management, and activities of daily living. This is an overnight staff position (7:00 pm to 7:00 am). Applicant must have a high school diploma or GED and must have at least one year’s experience providing interventions for individuals with serious mental illnesses. Certification in CPR, basic first aid, and medication administration is also required but can be obtained upon hire. A valid Virginia driver’s license with acceptable driving record and reliable transportation is required. Incumbent must submit to alcohol/drug testing, criminal records check including fingerprinting and child protective services central registry check.

Residential Support Providers Needed
Mental Retardation Services of Alleghany Highlands Community Services has openings in its residential unit for providers to work with individuals with mental retardation in their homes and in agency group homes. Major duties include training, assisting, supervising and monitoring progress of the consumer. Applicant must possess the ability to work with individuals who require considerable assistance in activities of daily living. To be considered, applicants must possess a valid Virginia driver’s license, acceptable driving record, reliable transportation and required limits of automobile liability insurance (if transporting client). In addition, individuals considered for employment must submit to a criminal records check including fingerprinting through FBI & State Police and Child Abuse/Neglect Registry with the Va. Dept. of Social Services. Pre-employment alcohol/drug testing is also required. Positions are hourly (7.47/hr.) and have limited benefits available to include paid time off, holiday pay as well as training opportunities.
